Dialogues REGEN

The dialogues will take place : in person and online.

The table will be moderated by one person, who will introduce the topic, and briefly present to the speakers. After each of them speaks, we will continue to a discussion about the topic in question, with a debate and answers to the questions asked by the moderators and the audience.

We will celebrate the sessions in the “People” room of TRIPLE. Attendance is free, with limited on-site seating.

WEDNESDAY 19 APRIL

10:00 to 11:30 h

Opening day. Press conference

12:00 to 13:30 h

Dialogue 1 | Decarbonization policies in the construction sector [ES]

The need for reducing carbon emissions to curb global warming is a clamor. How are we going to tackle this process in the buildings sector, which is responsible of 36% of global CO2 emissions?

16:00 to 17:30 h

Dialogue 2 | Regenerative economics as a tool for transformation [ES]

Economics is the main discipline that must humanize itself and adapt to the demands of the moment. The transformation of capitalism and the constitution of models that incorporate new dimensions of economic development will be analyzed.

18:00 a 19:30 h

Dialogue 3 | What do we understand by regenerative culture in the way of living? [EN]

Regenerative culture goes beyond sustainability, it encompasses an individual and collective purpose: ecological well-being. What is the path to this paradigm shift? How do we learn a new regenerative way of living?

THURSDAY 20 APRIL

9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Dialogue 4 | Administration projects for green housing [ES]

The different administrations play a fundamental role in the promotion of public development and social housing. Also in the necessary transformation to a green housing model, where there are already successful initiatives in our country.

12:00 to 13:30 h

Dialogue 5 | Life-cycle assessment, circularity and cyclability in construction [ES]

In a finite planet with unbridled growth, one of the great challenges is to generate a CIRCULAR ECONOMY of available resources.

16:00 to 17:30 h

Dialogue 6 | Wood and bio-based materials as a regenerative factor [ES]

Wood is the most sustainable material of the 21st century. Its industrialization, recyclability and speed on site are basic to consider it the material of the future.

18:00 a 19:30 h

Diálogo 7 | Regenerative projects, first steps [ES]

The first projects framed within the regenerative culture are being developed in Europe. We share these interesting examples.

FRIDAY 21 APRIL

10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Dialogue 8 | Regenerating communication [ES]

Exploring ways to counteract polarization and misinformation. How to generate communication strategies that support social welfare?

12:00 to 13:30 h

Dialogue 9 : Intergenerational experiences. Loneliness and collaborative culture in housing [ES]

Care management continues to be a pending issue in our society. This has become especially evident in recent years, in which we have seen how neither our housing nor our social organization respond to this reality.

16:00 a 17:30 h

Diálogo 10 | Pedagogies for the World to Come [ES]

Future people face an uncertain world and the new vital paradigms require adequate tools.

18:00 to 19:30 h

Dialogue 11 | New social contract, new masculinities [ES]

The lack of legitimacy of the traditional masculine model and the need for consensual relational frameworks between women and men force a profound questioning of the predominant values for the sake of real regenerative proposals.

Córner REGEN

Saturday 22 (10h – 12 / 12h – 14h)

Madrid is the European city with the most deaths associated with air pollution. Faced with this worrying fact, a big question arises: how can we design and build so that our home takes care of us like a second skin?

The practical tours are a format that addresses issues related to regenerative housing: Materials, Energy, Economy and Health.

PLANET Room. TRIPLE (c/Ferraz, 56)

Materials

The use of recycled, recyclable and renewable materials is fundamental in green and sustainable construction. We saw the advantages of cork, wood chips, recycled textiles for insulation, FSC wood and vegetable paints.

Energy

The cleanest energy is the one that is not used. And if, in addition to reducing demand, we produce our own energy on the rooftop? In this way we create communities with greater autonomy and resilience in the face of oil prices.

Economy

Green buildings are cheaper. In a scenario of high volatility and rising energy prices, our homes must take into account their energy demand throughout their life to know their true cost.our own energy on the roof? In this way we create communities with greater autonomy and resilience in the face of oil prices.

Health

We spend almost 90% of our time indoors, and homes are faced with the need to protect our health. In this corner we saw the fundamental corrective measures to maintain healthy values in our homes.

Workshops

Regenerative Cultures Workshop

20 and 21 april / 14.30h – 15.30h

What is regenerative culture? How can we apply it to the built environment? To learn and reflect on these concepts, Green Living Projects offers this introductory course, with the aim of creating a network of people and organizations active in the built environment. It deepens the understanding of regeneration and develops processes and practices to implement it in reality. After the workshop you will be able to access the 8-hour introductory course.

Facilitator: Enmanuel Pauwels (Green Living Projects)

Unschooling the life through Agile Learning

22 April / 10h – 12h

In this workshop we will approach the concept of unschooling, reflect on it and practice some tools that can allow us to get rid of programming and habits that resulted from other people’s power over our time, body, thoughts and actions.

Facilitator: Origami for Change

Place: TRIPLE (Ferraz st. 56)

Workshop LEGO: Build your regenerative house

22 april/ 12h – 14h

LEGO SERIOUS PLAY is an experimental and innovative process that deepens the reflection process and fosters an effective dialogue among all participants.

In this activity, the participants built their own Cohousing with the mythical LEGO pieces.
